Uses of FrostWires
FrostWire includes LimeWire’s free version functions, and a few of LimeWire Pro’s payment based upgrades On top of that, It contains no pop-ups, no nag screens, no inhibiting features. User would not get bombarded by ads. In addition, FrostWire users do not have to worry about simultaneous download restrictions.
FrostWire has some new features. It comes with friendly online chatroom. However, you would not be able to find some of the LimeWire features such as the instant messenger in FrostWire.
By default, TLS encryption is enabled for connections of FrostWire. This can be disabled in the preference. You can make more connections using FrostWire now.
FrostWire uses BitTorrent engine developed by Azureus technology. Prior to this, it uses a simplified BitTorrent engine created by LimeWire.
You can now share file between your Android Devices running FrostWire for Android and deskstop client through wireless connection. You do not have to preconfigure either device. These devices are discovered automatically if they are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
FrostWire is now compatible with iTune.
